JAMMU: The Central University of Jammu (CUJ), in collaboration with the Jammu Skill and Simulation Centre RIHFW, Nagrota Jammu organized a one-day training programme on Basic Life Support (BLS) for students at the CUJ campus.
The program saw the participation of more than 75 students from various departments who received hands-on training in essential life-saving skills. The session was chaired by Dr. Manoj Bhagat, Principal of RIHFW/JSSC Nagrota Jammu, and Dr. Shelly Mahajan, National Master Trainer (ICRC, Delhi) from RIHFW Nagrota Jammu, who guided the participants through practical demonstrations and key techniques of Basic Life Support. During the Programme the others who were present Mr. Rajeev Gupta, In-Charge Coordinator of the Skill Lab, RIHFW Nagrota Jammu, and Mr. Kewal Sharma, MTS, RIHFW Nagrota Jammu.
The training program was coordinated by Dr. Vijayata Puri, Senior Medical Officer at the CUJ Health Centre, with support from Mrs. Alka Saini, Nursing Officer, Mr. Ankur Sharma, Medical Attendant/Dresser, Mr. Mohinder Singh, Attendant, and other dedicated supporting staff.
This initiative aimed at equipping students with critical skills to respond effectively during medical emergencies and is part of CUJ's ongoing efforts to promote health education and emergency preparedness.
