JAMMU: The Department of Hindi and Other Indian Languages and the Hindi Cell of Central University of Jammu organized the closing ceremony of Hindi Pakhwada. Prof. Sanjeev Jain, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor CUJ was the chief guest on the occasion and stated in his address that Hindi is a symbol of the country’s integrity and unity. He emphasized that Hindi is the language of the heart of Mother India.
He praised the efforts made by the university in promoting and advancing Hindi, reaffirming the university's commitment to conducting all its activities in Hindi. He congratulated the Department of Hindi and Other Indian Languages and the Hindi Cell for their unprecedented contributions to the promotion of Hindi.
Prof. Yashwant Singh, Registrar in his address highlighted the current importance of the Hindi language and thanked the officials and staff for their efforts in promoting Hindi within the university. The ceremony began with a welcome address by Prof. Bharat Bhushan, Head of the Department of Hindi and Other Indian Languages, welcomed Prof. Sanjeev Jain, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, while Assistant Director of Hindi Cell, Dr. Priyanjan greeted Registrar Prof. Yashwant Singh.
During the event, winners of various competitions held for university staff were honored, and certificates, cash prizes & momentos were distributed to all participants. The program was conducted by Dr. Shashikant Mishra, Associate Professor of Hindi and Other Indian Languages. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Priyanjan and the national anthem.
