SRINAGAR: On the concluding day of fifteen day long children’s theatre and dance workshop organized by the Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art Culture and languages wherein the children of the P.M package employees today demonstrated their acting skills and dance performances that mesmerized the audience here at Tagore ,Hall Srinagar.
Sh. Suresh Gupta ,Principal Secretary ,Department of Culture ,Jammu and Kashmir UT while appreciating the children performances also congratulated to Dr.Sudhir Mahajan and his dedicated team members who prepared the children by imparting and developing various art skills among the children within the short span of 15 day workshop and inputs resulting into output as a scintillating performances in dance and theater .
The aim of the workshop was to provide a single platform to the children of the KP community for developing social skills and cultural understanding so that they can learn to explore and express emotions effectively.
This was the first of its kinds workshop at Srinagar wherein the children got an opportunity to develop their overall personality by learning and practicing various skills such as voice and speech , Theatre games , Role play , improvisations on the various issues of the contemporary society, yoga, Music and dance etc. through various theater devices as a tool.
The workshop was done under national repute Theatre Actor ,Director and playwright, Dr.Sudhir Mahajan, who is also having an experience of 40 years in the field of theatre ,Radio and Television and also directed more than one hundred stage plays in Dogri,Kashmiri,Hindi ,punjabi and English as well.
Anita Chandpuri prominent Social and cultural activists and G.Secretary Samooh Coordinated while Kamal Chandpuri was the assistant director of the workshop. Deepkia Dhar was incharge of the dance while Ashish Dhar was the assistant in yoga .
Lights designed and operated by Tariq Hajini while Alaiz was the sound operator .Children of different age groups who participated in this workshop with a lot of curiosity and enthusiasm were Rhythim Raina,Diwesh Zadoo,Aardhya Bhat,Pearl Bhat,Avni Bhat,Tejas Dhar,Tanishka Raina,Vinay Bhat,Rhea Bhat,Samidhya Gawande,Zenani Koul,Mayuresh Dhar,Danik Bhat,Vishasvi Bhat,Kritika BhatHitakshi Dhar,Mishty Pandita,Anushkha Raina.Ojaasvi Dhar and Nayka Dhar.
The prominent Writers, Poets, Theaterists and Art Lovers who graced this occasion were Padam Shari S.P.Verma, Additional Secretary JKAACL Sh. Sanjiv Rana, Sh. Manoj Sheeri, Bashir Bhawani, Mohd Amin Bhat, Dulzar Ahmad Ganie NSD, Shafiq Qureshi, M.Y. Shaheen, Dr.Farooq Anwar Mirza, Mushtaq Ali Ahmad Khan, Dr. Mehjabeen Nabi, Ms. Sanjogita Mishra, etc.
