• Satsang highlights relevance of Lord Parshuram’s teachings; youth urged to embrace values and unity

JAMMU: The birth anniversary (Prakatya Utsav) of Lord Parshuram was celebrated with great devotion and enthusiasm at Durga Temple, Keshav Nagar-1. The programme began with a sacred fire ritual and prayers in the morning, setting a spiritual tone for the day.

This was followed by a spiritual gathering (satsang), where devotees from various villages of Ranbir Singh Pura tehsil participated in large numbers. The gathering provided an opportunity for collective reflection, devotional singing, and listening to spiritual discourses. Speakers elaborated on the teachings of Lord Parshuram and emphasized their continued relevance in modern times.

Renowned spiritual speaker Shri Balveer Shastri Ji Maharaj highlighted the life and divine deeds of Lord Parshuram, inspiring devotees to follow the path of righteousness and discipline. Swami Shri Umeshanand Ji Maharaj of Raghunath Dham, Bhojpur, in his address, described Lord Parshuram as a symbol of penance, sacrifice, courage, and strength in the Vedic Sanatan tradition. He noted that Lord Parshuram stood firmly against injustice and worked towards establishing balance, harmony, and equality in society.

Addressing contemporary concerns, Swami Ji cautioned against divisive forces that attempt to mislead society in the name of religion and social service. He urged people to remain united, uphold truth, and work collectively for social harmony and national progress.

Highlighting the importance of spiritual gatherings, speakers stressed that satsang plays a vital role in shaping the younger generation. In today’s fast-paced and digitally driven world, youth are often exposed to stress, distractions, and conflicting influences. Satsang provides a platform for positive guidance, moral clarity, and emotional balance. It helps young individuals stay connected with their cultural roots, develop ethical values, and build a sense of responsibility towards society.

Speakers emphasized that regular participation in such gatherings encourages discipline, respect, and self-awareness among youth. It also fosters critical thinking, helping them differentiate between right and wrong while strengthening their character. By engaging with spiritual teachings and community discussions, young people can cultivate inner strength, resilience, and a sense of purpose—qualities essential for both personal growth and nation-building.

A special appeal was made to the youth to pursue education along with cultural and moral values, and to contribute actively towards building a peaceful and progressive society based on unity and mutual respect. On the occasion, Temple Management Committee President Captain Kundan Lal expressed gratitude to all devotees and organizers for their active participation.
