JAMMU: The Jammu & Kashmir Board of School Education organized Essay Writing Competition on various themes of Adolescence Education Program (AEP) and School Health and Wellness Program (SHWP) under Ayushman Bharat Scheme of Government of India in J&K. In the essay writing competition, the students from class 6th to 12th of government as well as private schools (affiliated to JKBOSE) participated in two categories i.e. Middle Stage (6th to 8th) and Secondary Stage (9th to 12th) through digital mode.
The detailed guidelines along with the different themes were shared with both the Directorates of School Education, Jammu & Kashmir, Chief Education Officers of all 20 Districts and Hols of concerned schools and were made available to the students through different online modes for the maximum participation of the students.
The Essay Writing Competition provided platform to the students and gave them opportunity to win prizes and consolation prizes under these two categories. A large number of entries i.e. 399 shared by Govt. as well as Private Schools (affiliated to JKBOSE) were received by JKAEP Cell, JKBOSE which were evaluated by the panel of experts.
In Middle Stage Category, 1st Prize of Rs. 2000 was bagged by Ibaad-ul-Islam of Molvi Mohiuddin Khan Memorial Public School, Nehalpora, Baramulla; 2nd Prize of Rs. 1500 by Roonak Rasool of Govt. Girls Middle School Choker, Baramulla and 3rd Prize of Rs. 1000 by Labika Batool of Islamia Faridiya Higher Secondary School, Kishtwar. Besides this, three consolation prizes of Rs. 500 each were awarded to Kanika Sharma of Pine Land Public High School, Katra, Reasi, Gurleen Kour of Shiksha Niketan Senior Secondary School, Jeevan Nagar, Jammu and Huda Yaseen of Ismi Azam Public High School, Srinagar.
In Secondary Stage Category, 1st Prize of Rs. 2000 was bagged by Hiteshdev Singh of Naveen Shiksha Kendra HSS Nagbani, Jammu; 2nd Prize of Rs. 1500 by Hafidah Hina of Public School English Medium Bijbehara, Anantnag, and 3rd Prize of Rs.1000 by Gayatri Singh Charak of Humanity Public School Vijaypur, Samba. Besides this, three consolation prizes of Rs. 500 each were awarded to Mahi Sharma of GGHSS Sunderbani, Rajouri, Areeb Jaffar Mir of S P HSS, M. A. Road, Srinagar and Ritesh Rana of HSS (Boys) Nowabad, Jammu. The initiative encourages young minds to express their thoughts, enhance their writing skills, and engage in critical thinking on important topics.
