- Appeals for communal harmony
SAMBA: Apni Party Provincial President Jammu, and Former Minister, S. Manjit Singh has condemned the terror attack on an army vehicle in a village in Kathua district. In this tragic incident, four soldiers of the Indian Army were martyred and six of their colleagues’ sustained injuries when their vehicle was ambushed by the terrorists at Machedi in Kathua District as per media reports.
"The terror act is highly condemnable, and the perpetrators of the terror attack must be punished by our brave security forces, " said S. Manjit Singh in his statement that was issued to oppose the terrorist attack. Expressing sympathies with the respective family members of the martyred brave hearts, the Former Minister prayed for the eternal peace of the departed and strength to the family members to bear this irrepressible loss.
He said that the Govt must take a tough stance against the elements helping the terrorists to hide and carry out such an attack on the Indian Army. "I want to make it clear to the perpetrators of the terror attack that the people of Jammu and Kashmir stand firmly with the Indian Army and it's Govt when it comes to national security, " he said, extending support to the Govt to take all possible security measures and review the situation to ensure peace in the region.
He said that the Jammu region is sensitive, and the enemy of peace wants to disturb the harmony among the communities. He also appealed to the Govt to ensure peace and brotherhood in the Jammu region. Meanwhile, President Kandi Belt, Bani-Basohli, Yasir Choudhary also expressed deep shock over the martyrdom of four army men.
He also expressed sympathy with the respective bereaved family members of the Indian Army personnel. He demanded stringent action against the accused persons involved in the terror attack.
