KISHTWAR: In a heart-wrenching incident, two young brothers from Tehsil Chilli Pingal in Doda district tragically drowned in a stream. The Democratic Progressive Azad Party (DPAP) Vice President and former Minister, Ghulam Mohammad Saroori, has expressed profound grief and sorrow over this unfortunate event.
The incident occurred around 11 AM on Tuesday at the Bonjwah Dundi stream. The brothers, identified as Nasir Hussain and Yasir Hussain, sons of Mohammad Shafi Zargar, residents of Gundo, Tehsil Chilli Pingal, were returning home from Bonjwah when they decided to bathe in the stream. Sadly, they drowned while bathing and died on the spot.
As soon as the news of the accident spread, a large number of local residents and a police team rushed to the site. The brothers were retrieved from the stream and taken to a nearby hospital, but unfortunately, they could not be revived. It has been reported that both boys were students of a madrasa.
Ghulam Mohammad Saroori, in his statement, expressed deep condolences to the bereaved family. He empathized with their immense loss and urged the community to exercise caution, especially during the rainy season. Saroori appealed to the public to refrain from allowing children to bathe in streams to prevent such tragic incidents.
This heartbreaking incident has left the community in shock, and there has been an outpouring of grief and sympathy for the affected family. The tragedy underscores the need for increased vigilance and safety measures to protect children and prevent similar occurrences in the future.
