JAMMU: The Union Minister in PMO, Dr. Jitendra Singh, on Saturday said that the alliance of NC-Congress is just for the sake of power and it has nothing to do with national interest. “The NC-Cong will bring back terrorism in J&K and stall development here,” Dr Singh said and added that people of J&K will give befitting reply to the divisive agenda of NC-Cong,” he said.
He said that 70% of voters in Jammu and Kashmir are youth, and they are eager to respond strongly to the appeasement politics of the National Conference and Congress in the upcoming assembly election. About hanging of Afjal Guru, Singh said, If the center made a decision about Guru, it was surely with the cabinet’s consent, and Dr. Farooq Abdullah raised no objections, nor did Chief Minister Omar Abdullah protested against the decision.
Dr. Singh asserted that Omar Abdullah’s claim of ignorance of Afzal Guru’s hanging is misleading, as Abdullah was the Chief Minister at the time. He questioned Congress's stance on Article 370. There are 70% youth voters in Jammu and Kashmir, and they are eager to respond strongly to the appeasement politics of the National Conference and Congress in the upcoming assembly elections, Singh said.
According to details, during a press conference held at the BJP’s election media center in Jammu, Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh, accompanied by BJP Media Centre Incharge and party spokesperson Arun Gupta, exposed the self-serving politics of the National Conference-Congress alliance.
He said Omar Abdullah’s statement on Afzal Guru’s hanging is shocking, where Abdullah claimed he wasn’t consulted when Guru was executed. Dr. Singh criticized Abdullah, revealing that when Afzal Guru was hanged in 2013, the UPA government was in power at the center, and Omar Abdullah was the Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir.
