GANDERBAL: An awareness camp on women-centric legislation and schemes, including the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) initiative, was conducted at Government Boys Higher Secondary School Kurhama Ganderbal by the Sankalp Hub for Empowerment of Women (SHEW).

The event aimed to educate students about key laws protecting women's rights, such as the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act and the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace Act. In addition, students were informed about various government schemes like the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana, Ujjwala Yojana, and the Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana.

The camp featured insightful sessions by the representative from SHEW, who discussed the significance of legal literacy and grassroots empowerment efforts. The event was well-received, with students actively participating in discussions and interactive Q&A sessions. Many attendees expressed a newfound understanding of the importance of gender equality and the role they can play in advocating women's rights.
