BANDIPORA: In order to promote awareness with regard to various schemes and initiatives for the empowerment of women, a day-long awareness cum aid distribution programme was today organized at High School Malangam by SANKALP Hub for Empowerment of Women, Mission Shakti .
The awareness programme under Beti Bachao Beti Pahao (BBBP) initiative aimed at empowering young girls by educating them about their rights and various forms of supports extended by the government for their wellbeing, education and empowerment. The event marked the distribution of educational kits among the deserving students.
The programme also had insights of the components of Mission Shakti and highlighted women centric legislations and laws reinforcing the commitment to foster the well being and development of women in the nation.
