SHOPIAN: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shopian, Mohammad Shahid Saleem Dar today chaired a meeting to review winter preparedness and emphasized the need for a coordinated approach to mitigate winter challenges. He instructed concerned officers to execute mitigation plans efficiently, ensuring prompt responses to avoid inconvenience to the public.

Focus was given on publicizing the Action Plan mentioning the Priority 1, 2 & 3 roads so that the public is well aware of the snow clearance operations in order to arrest the distress calls for snow clearance. The meeting focused on interdepartmental coordination, evolving efficient mechanisms to address public grievances, and ensuring seamless services during the winter season.

The DC instructed for setting up Integrated Winter Control Room, to be manned by R&B, MED, PMGSY, MC, Revenue, Jal Shakti etc. ADDC, Dr Nasir Ahmad Lone, ADC Dr Zakir Hussain Faaz, ACR, ACD, Tehsildars, ExEns of various Engineering Departments, CEO, DIO, ARTO, BDOs, Dy.CMO, DYSSO and other officers attended the meeting.
