• Shopian slated to get State of Art Veterinary Hospital

SHOPIAN: To gear up the implementation of ongoing Central and UT sector schemes, Director Animal Husbandry Kashmir, Dr. Parvinder Singh Sudan Monday visited District Shopian to take review of physical & financial achievements under various  schemes and activities pertaining to the Department. Dr Sudan emphasized to saturate all the govt. schemes with special focus to cover the maximum number of beneficiaries so as to double the farmers' income from the dairy and poultry sector.

The Director passed directions and stressed to establish more units under Project 23, 25 & 28 of HADP Scheme. Furthermore, he stressed upon all Veterinary Assistant Surgeons to gear up uploadings on Pashudhan Portal in respect to AIs, Births & vaccinations in a time bound manner. Addressing the long pending demand, Dr Sudan informed that District Shopian is going to get a new state of art Veterinary Hospital for which the budget has been earmarked. The visit highlighted the Department's endeavor for fostering sustainable growth in the Animal Husbandry Sector.
