KISHTWAR: Demonstrating a spirit of patriotism and community service, the NCC cadets from Government Degree College (GDC) Kishtwar collected donations from residents and students to contribute towards the Armed Forces Flag Day fund. The Day is observed annually to honor the sacrifices of Armed Forces personnel.
The Students led by Dr Vijay Kumar and Dr Parveen Singh Physical Director collected Rs 28,670 and handed it over to the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Rajesh Kumar Shavan in his office today.
The DC lauded their efforts and acknowledged the valuable contribution of the youth towards fostering awareness about the significance of the Flag Day. He emphasized the importance of supporting the welfare of armed forces personnel and their families through such initiatives.
The physical Director expressed gratitude to the local community for their generous contributions and assured continued efforts in promoting national cause. The event highlights the active participation of the district's youth in community-driven endeavors, aligning with the spirit of nation-building. The District Administration further encouraged citizens to actively participate in similar initiatives and support the welfare of the Armed Forces.
