KUPWARA: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Shrikant Suse, today chaired a meeting to review the progress of the National Highway-701 (RKCTC Road) project and address various issues affecting its execution.

The meeting held a detailed discussion on key aspects of the project, including shifting of electricity poles and water pipelines, improvement of road curves.  The concerned Tehsildars were instructed to ensure timely submission of land title documents to facilitate prompt compensation to affected landowners.

The Deputy Commissioner also emphasized the removal of hindrances, attestation of mutations, and clearance of issues related to walnut trees and forest land, directing the concerned departments to expedite the process to ensure uninterrupted construction of the highway.

The DC directed concerned agency to complete pending culvert works on fast track basis to avoid inconvenience to the general public. The DC urged all stakeholders to maintain close coordination and work proactively to achieve timely completion of this vital infrastructure project, which is expected to significantly enhance connectivity and boost economic activity in the district.

The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Handwara, Assistant Commissioner Revenue Kupwara, SE Hydraulics, SE R&B, OC Beacon, Chief Horticulture Officer Kupwara, and other concerned officers.
