RAMBAN: On the direction of Deputy Commissioner Ramban Baseer-Ul-Haq Chaudhary, District Employment and Counselling Centre (DECC) Ramban in collaboration with BDO office Gandhri successfully organized an awareness camp at the Block Development Office (BDO) Gandhri with the objective of educating unemployed youth about various self-employment schemes under the Mission Youth initiative.
The camp saw enthusiastic participation from local youth, who were eager to explore opportunities for self-reliance and employment. Amir Hassan, Career Counselling Officer DECC Ramban and Lovepreet Singh, Young Professional (YP) from DECC Ramban, addressed the gathering and provided an in-depth demonstration of the self-employment schemes available under the Mission Youth program. They thoroughly explained the application process, eligibility criteria, and the benefits of these schemes, urging the youth to capitalize on these opportunities to build sustainable livelihoods.
In addition to the self-employment schemes, also highlighted various employment-related services available through the JK Employment Portal and the National Career Service (NCS) Portal. These platforms provide a wide range of resources, including job listings, career counseling, and skill development programs, designed to assist the youth in securing gainful employment.
The collaborative efforts of DECC Ramban and the Block Development Office were well received by the attendees, who appreciated the valuable information and support for organizing the event. Later, 05 Youngsters showed the interest for registration to avail these schemes.
BDO Gandhri encourage the youth to participate in such awareness programmes in order to become self reliant. He further requested to enroll in self employment schemes of various departments like mission youth, PMEGP to become the successful entrepreneurs in the block.
