POONCH: Deputy Commissioner Vikas Kundal on Monday chaired a crucial meeting here in the conference hall of DC office to assess the promotional activities and development of infrastructure in the tourism sector. The meeting highlighted the achievements and future plans for enhancing tourism in the region. It was informed that the Poonch Development Authority is currently executing 37 projects across the three subdivisions of Poonch, Mendhar, and Surankote. Of these, 26 projects have been completed, while 10 are in progress.
The Deputy Commissioner assessed various developmental initiatives, including the establishment of Eco Parks, Tourism Parks, Children Parks, and other tourist spots. He emphasized the importance of developing robust tourism infrastructure in the district to attract more visitors and enhance the local economy. Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned tourism officers to prioritize the development of infrastructure to support the growing tourism sector in the district.
