SHOPIAN: An Awareness programme on safe food & healthy diets, fortified food, repurpose used cooking oil, personal hygiene was today held for the Food Business Operators of the Shopian Town, here by Food Safety Department Shopian.
The Food Business Operators including from Hotels and Restaurants, Dhabas, Bakery Manufacturers and retailers attended the awareness programme. The awareness on misuse and ill effects of repurpose used cooking (RUCO) was given to the Food Business Operators.
RUCO oil aggregator also attended the awareness programme and shared his contacts with the Food Business Operators so that repurposed used cooking oil is collected and converted into bio diesel as mandated by FSSAI to save the environment and the negative impact of its use.
