JAMMU: Students of M.Sc. Biotechnology programme (Session 2024-2026) from Centre for Molecular Biology of Central University of Jammu, actively participated in a prestigious International Conference on Breast and Allied Cancers held at the University of Kashmir, Srinagar by the Department of Bioresources, University of Kashmir, Srinagar, sponsored by the ANRF-DST, Ministry of Science and Technology, GOI. The conference brought together many researchers, academicians, and students from various institutions to discuss recent advances in cancer research, diagnosis, and treatment.

A total of 13 students of M.Sc.  Biotechnology from the Centre for Molecular Biology, Central University of Jammu participated and presented a paper in the conference. Their participation reflected the university’s growing academic engagement and research-oriented approach.

Among the participants, Ms. Sanskrit Jain, achieved a remarkable accomplishment by securing third position for her presentation titled” A Radiation-Free Adjunct to Mammography: Evaluating Braster Technology for Early Breast Cancer Screening.” In addition to this academic recognition, she was also awarded a cash prize of ₹1000, further highlighting her excellence in research presentation.

Other participating students also delivered oral presentations, gaining valuable exposure, feedback from experts, and opportunities for academic interaction and networking. The conference proved to be an enriching learning experience, enhancing student’s understanding of current trends in cancer research and diagnostics.

Overall, the participation of Central University of Jammu students was commendable, making the conference a memorable and academically rewarding experience. The university takes pride in its student’s achievements and continues to encourage such platforms for research excellence and professional growth.
