REASI: Under the visionary leadership of Khalil Choudhary, Chairman, District Legal Services Authority, Reasi (also Pr. District and Sessions Judge) and the able guidance of Secretary Pooja Gupta a series of legal awareness camps were today organised in different parts of Reasi District.
An awareness programme in the form of a Nukkad Natak was held on Road Safety Rules at Bathoie, Tukson by the Para Legal Volunteers (PLVs) of TLSC Mahore. During the Nukkad Natak, the participants highlighted the importance of following traffic and road safety rules for the protection of human life. The PLVs sensitized the public to the use of helmets, seat belts, avoiding drunk driving, obeying traffic signals, and maintaining safe driving practices.
Another awareness programme on “NALSA Schemes for Children” was organized at Middle School Migrant Colony Talwara under the supervision of Chief LADC Rashi Baru. The programme was conducted by Assistant LADCs Bhumika Rajput, Rishav Sharma and Ranjeet Singh along with PLVs.
The speakers highlighted the rights of children, free legal aid services, child protection laws, importance of education, protection against child labour, child marriage and abuse, and the role of Legal Services Institutions in safeguarding the interests of children. The participants were also informed about the Juvenile Justice Act, POCSO Act and different schemes aimed at ensuring the welfare and development of children.
Another awareness programme on the ASHA Scheme was organized at Village Chapanoou The programme was conducted with the objective of creating awareness among the local residents regarding the benefits and objectives of the ASHA Scheme and various welfare initiatives available for the upliftment and support of needy and marginalized sections of society.
The participants were informed about legal aid services, women welfare measures, health related assistance, and government support schemes accessible through the Legal Services Institutions.
