JAMMU: As part of the ongoing 100 Day Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan (NMBA) campaign, the Padma Shri Padma Sachdev Government College for Women Gandhi Nagar- organised an awareness drive on substance abuse and misuse here on the college campus.

The programme, a collaborative initiative of the Department of Botany and Zoology, was hosted under the patronage of the Principal and Nodal Officer, Prof. Kulvinder Kour. Themed “Awareness through Slogans and Commitment through Pledge,” the program featured a slogan-writing campaign and pledge-taking ceremony.

Around 100 students participated in the pledge-taking event while nearly 20 students enthusiastically took part in the slogan-writing campaign creatively expressing messages promoting awareness against substance abuse.

The participants prepared impactful slogans conveying strong messages against drug addiction and advocating a healthy lifestyle. In the pledge-taking ceremony, students and faculty members pledged their commitment towards maintaining a drug-free campus and contributing actively towards the vision of a “Nasha Mukt Bharat.”

The initiative aimed to encourage youth participation in building a drug-free society through awareness, counselling and collective responsibility. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and faculty members of the Departments of Botany and Zoology, reflecting the institution’s strong commitment towards spreading awareness against substance abuse and misuse.
