RAMBAN: IQAC, Government Degree College Ramban in collaboration with IIC and Department of Botany celebrated the International Day for Biological Diversity with an awareness programme and educational visit aimed at promoting environmental conservation and awareness about the importance of biodiversity.

The programme was organized under the overall supervision of the Principal, Prof. Romesh Kumar Atri and was coordinated by Prof. Jawaid Sarver, convener Institution's Innovation Council (IIC). NCC Cadets, students and faculty members actively participated in the programme and visited a nearby Village Karol Kundi and surrounding areas where they observed a variety of plant species and ecological resources. During the visit, students were sensitized about the importance of biodiversity conservation and the role of flora and fauna in maintaining ecological balance.

Speaking on the occasion, the Principal, Prof. Romesh Kumar Atri, a renowned botanist, highlighted the importance of preserving biodiversity for sustainable development and environmental protection. He emphasized that biodiversity is essential for human survival and urged students to become ambassadors of environmental conservation in society.

Prof. Jawaid Sarver, HoD Botany, while addressing the students, informed them about the significance of International Day for Biological Diversity and explained the rich diversity of plants found in the local ecosystem.
