RAJOURI: Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Abhishek Sharma today held an interactive session with the students of Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University (BGSBU) at the University campus, engaging them in a meaningful discussion on academic growth, career opportunities and emerging prospects for youth.

Addressing the gathering, the DC elaborated on the key highlights of the Union Budget 2026, with special emphasis on allocations earmarked for skill development, entrepreneurship promotion and youth empowerment initiatives. He informed the students that the enhanced budgetary provisions reflect the Government’s commitment to equipping young minds with industry-relevant skills and fostering innovation-driven growth.

He encouraged students to actively explore skill enhancement programmes, internships, digital learning platforms and start-up avenues aligned with national priorities. Stressing the importance of self-reliance and adaptability in a competitive world, he urged them to make optimum use of institutional facilities and government-sponsored schemes aimed at empowering youth.

The Deputy Commissioner responded to the students’ queries, appreciating their enthusiasm and academic dedication. He reiterated the University’s commitment to providing a supportive academic environment and opportunities for holistic development of youth. Deputy Director My Bharat Rajouri, Nitin Hangloo, Assistant Professors Danish Raina and Shafqat Mughal along with faculty members were also present during the session.
