DODA: On the directions of the Deputy Commissioner, Harvinder Singhand and under the guidance of Chief Medical Officer Dr. Om Kumar, a blood donation camp was today conducted at Army Camp Arnora in Medical Block Ghat. The camp, held under the supervision of Block Medical Officer Dr. Abdul Gafoor, was organized by the Indian Army in collaboration with the Health Department.
The event was inaugurated by Commanding Officer 10RR, Col. Rahul Katyar, in the presence of BMO Dr. Abdul Gafoor, Captain Dr. Poornima (Medical Officer, Indian Army), Nodal Officer Red Cross Rishi Pandita, BME Officer Mashhood Latif and the staff of the Blood Bank, GMC Doda.
The camp witnessed enthusiastic participation, with 25 units of blood donated by Army personnel. This initiative highlighted the unwavering commitment of the Indian Army and the health department towards societal welfare and ensuring adequate blood supply for those in need.
The health department extended heartfelt gratitude to all participants and contributors for making the camp a success. Such initiatives exemplify the spirit of collaboration and service, strengthening the bond between the armed forces and the local community.
