JAMMU: Senior BJP leader and former Jammu and Kashmir state secretary, Pawan Sharma, has vehemently denounced Omar Abdullah's budget presentation, citing its detrimental impact on the public and its mockery of Jammu and Kashmir residents' aspirations.
Pawan Sharma emphasized that the budget has completely ignored the plight of daily wagers, contractual, and consolidated employees, including NYCs, who are struggling to make ends meet," Sharma said. "This is a clear indication of the government's insensitivity towards the welfare of these employees."
Sharma pointed out that the budget has failed to provide any relief to these employees, who are facing immense hardship due to their uncertain employment status. "The government's failure to regularize their services or provide them with job security has worsened youth unemployment in the state," he said.
Sharma demanded that the government take immediate action to address the concerns of these employees. "The government must regularize their services, provide them with job security, and ensure that they receive their dues on time," he said. "The BJP will continue to raise its voice for the rights of these employees and ensure that they receive justice," Sharma said.
He further stated that the Jammu province had been deliberately underprioritized, with a clear focus on Kashmir-centric initiatives in the budget. The tourism sector of Jammu, which had immense potential, had been completely neglected.
The National Conference government's bias has been further exposed, depriving Jammu and its people of their rightful development and opportunities. Pawan Sharma called upon the citizens of Jammu to recognize this discriminatory methodology and collectively oppose policies that hinder their aspirations and progress.
