SHOPIAN: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shopian, Shishir Gupta today convened a meeting to take stock of the arrangements to be put in place for the smooth conduct of the upcoming Maha Shivratri festival.
DC directed for ensuring adequate arrangements of illumination, track maintenance, sanitation, healthcare, water and power supply, availability of Fish, and other arrangements at Kapal Mochan Temple, Nagbal and other religious places across the district. He also stressed on ensuring foolproof arrangements for security & regulation of traffic at the temple.
He also directed for market checking on a regular basis to curb the illegal marketing practices by imposing heavy fines against violations. ADC, Dr. Zakir Hussain Faaz, ACR, Shakoor Ahmed Dar, Additional SP, Showkat Hussain, ACP, Manzoor Ahmad, CMO, Dr. Arshid Tak, Tehsildars and other concerned were present in the meeting.
