BARAMULLA: J&K Police in Baramulla organised a Drug Awareness Road Race at Uri in collaboration with Government Degree College Uri under the ongoing Nasha Mukt Jammu Kashmir Abhiyaan with the objective of spreading awareness among the youth about the harmful effects of drug abuse and promoting a healthy, drug-free lifestyle.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, volunteers and members of the public, who actively participated in the awareness programme and raised slogans promoting fitness, discipline, social responsibility and the importance of staying away from drugs. The road race commenced from Jullan and culminated at Salamabad, Uri, conveying a strong message of unity against drug abuse and encouraging the younger generation to adopt positive activities such as sports and education.
Police remains committed towards eradicating the menace of drugs from society and will continue to organise such awareness programmes across the district to sensitise the public, especially youth, about the dangers of drug abuse and the importance of leading a healthy and responsible life.
