JAMMU: The Indian Institute of Management Jammu concluded the Management Development Programme (MDP) on “Managerial Mindset: Strategies for Effective Leading and Decision Making” designed exclusively for officers of the Indian Metro Rail Organizations’ Society. The valedictory ceremony was held at the Institute campus on 28th Feb 2026 in a dignified and engaging atmosphere.
The ceremony commenced with a Welcome Address by Mr. Rajkumar V, who warmly welcomed the distinguished resource person, participants, and faculty members. In his address, he highlighted the significance of developing a progressive managerial mindset to address the emerging challenges in metro rail organizations and emphasized the importance of strategic leadership and effective decision-making in public infrastructure systems.
Presenting the Programme Report, he provided a comprehensive overview of the key learning modules, including managerial mindset development, strategic thinking, decision-making under complexity, organizational behavior, leadership strategies, and case-based discussions. The programme was structured around interactive sessions, experiential learning, and real-world simulations to ensure practical relevance and immediate applicability.
Dr. JagnathG, faculty, IIM Jammu who graced the valedictory ceremony as the Resource Personaddressed the participants and underscored the evolving role of metro rail systems in shaping sustainable urban mobility. He emphasized that strong managerial capabilities, innovation, and ethical leadership are essential for ensuring operational excellence and long-term organizational resilience.
The ceremony also featured reflections from participants, who shared their enriching learning experiences and appreciated the academic rigor, practical insights, and participatory pedagogy adopted during the programme.
