JAMMU: Sunil Prajapati, President BJP OBC Morcha and Star Campaigner for the Election, who is compaigning for the party in Pir Panjall Region of Poonch-Rajouri yesterday addressed a meeting of OBC people organised by Abdul Rashid Ganai (Vice President OBC Morcha) in Darhal,Thanna, Mandi Constituency where different heads of OBC community attended the Meeting.
Sunil Prajapati highlighted the welfare steps taken by the Modi Govt for OBCs in J&K. Reservation to OBCs has been granted for the first time in J&K as per Constitutional provisions after abrogation of Article 370 and provided 8% Reservation while the Previous National Conference (NC) Govts have provided mere 2% reservation under Social Caste (OSC) Category. In the Poonch Assembly Constituency around 40 to 45 thousand voters belong to the OBC community.
Sunil Prajapati expressed with concern that Congress and NC Govt have denied Constitutional right of Reservation to OBC category. Thus an irreplaceable loss has been sufferred by the OBCs during last 70 years while NC and Congressed ruled the State. BJP Govt at Centre has granted the reservation to OBCs in Jobs as per Constitutional provisions scraping illegal and Unconstitutional reserve categories Social Caste (OSC) category, where under mere 2 % reservation was provided and the reservation to OBC has been enhanced to 8%. BJP Govt has also provided the reservation in Panchayates and Municipality elections. Now large number of representatives will be elected in Panchayats and Municipalities including DDC members.
BJP is only party which has considered the demands of the OBCs, while NC and Congress have denied the rights of OBCs for three decades. Prajapati appealed to the whole OBC community of thanna Mandi Constituency to vote for BJP in the Assembly election so that BJP secceed in forming the Govt and the left over demands of OBCs are also fulfulled by the BJP on comeing into power in the State Assembly.
Prajapati also expressed that the BJP will emerge as the largest party after election and will be going to form the Govt at its own and if needed with support of like minded parties. The policies and welfare measures adopted by the Modi Govt will continue and OBC people will be benefitted under BJP Govt.
Sunil Prajapati for the last so many days had conducted large number of meetings with OBC and Gujjar community people of the twin Districts of Poonch and Rajouri in the region and highlight the Developments and Welffare Schemes initiated by the Modi Govt for the welfare and upliftment of the poor, monetary relief to the small farmers and various schemes the betterment of Women including Beti Bachao and Beti Padao, Sukanya Samridhi Yojna and Ladli Beti Yojana.
He also mentioned that the youths which were being used for stone pelting in the valley by certain parties will now decide their future by casting their votes against the parties who have ruled the Jammu and Kashmir for seven decades but ruined their careerand served deaths and terrorism to the J&K. But under the Modi Govt stone pelting has been stopped completely and terrirism is taking last breath due to strong policies adopted by the BJP Govt after abrogation of Article 370.
