KULGAM: The District Child Protection Officer Muzaffar Ahmad Malik, Mission Vatsalya Kulgam along with Labour Department conducted a massive Anti Child Labour and Child Begging drive under PAN India Rescue and Rehabilitation of children in street situation (CISS).
This initiative is a part of broader Pan -India campaign focused on identifying and supporting children in street situations (CISS) and rescuing children engaged in labour areas across vulnerable areas within the kulgam District.
During the drive hotspots including business establishments, bakery shops, hotels, restaurants and automobile service stations were checked in order to found Child labourers involvement within their business establishments.
In addition to this the rescue team counselled the owners of business establishments and others not to engage any child in labour activities who is below the age of 18 years as it is violation of Juvenile justice and Child Labour Act.
