JAMMU: A meaningful discussion on youth engagement, leadership, and empowerment was held today with Prof. (Dr.) K. S. Chandrasekar, Vice Chancellor of Cluster University of Jammu. The interaction was led by Nitin Hangloo, State Director MY Bharat Jammu and Kashmir who highlighted the vision and objectives of Mera Yuva Bharat (MY Bharat) in strengthening youth participation, volunteerism, leadership, and skill development across Jammu & Kashmir.
During the meeting, discussions were held regarding collaborative initiatives to connect students and youth with developmental opportunities through the MY Bharat portal functioning under the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India. Emphasis was laid on encouraging active youth involvement in nation-building activities, educational outreach programs, innovation, and community-driven initiatives aimed at empowering the younger generation.
It is pertinent to mention that MY Bharat is the Premier Youth Organization of the Government of India aimed at Engaging Youth in Nation Building activities. Through Experiential Learning Programs, MY Bharat gives myriad engagement opportunities to youth in various Government Departments.
The meeting was also attended by Vivek Kumar District Youth Officer Jammu, Anmol Bajaj, APA and Sushil Singh Charak, State Resource Person MY Bharat. The discussion highlighted the importance of coordination between educational institutions and MY Bharat to create a stronger platform for constructive youth engagement and social development in Jammu & Kashmir.
