SOPORE: Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, police have arrested a drug peddler in Sopore and recovered contraband substance from his possession.
A police party of Police Station Dangiwacha during naka checking at Behrampora intercepted a suspicious person. During search, 72 capsules of SpasmoProxyvon Plus were recovered from his possession. He has been identified as Mushtaq Ahmad Bhat son of Abdul Rehman Bhat resident of Malgonipora Watergam. He has been arrested and shifted to police station where he remains in custody.
Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 76/2025 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Dangiwacha and further investigation is underway. Police reiterate its firm commitment to combating drug trafficking and urges the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity. Together, we can ensure a drug-free and safer society.
