SRINAGAR: Police in Sopore have arrested two drug peddlers and recovered psychotropic substance from their possession. A Police party of Police Post Fruit Mandi headed by IC PP Fruit Mandi during patrolling at Nowpora Byepass Road apprehended two persons in a suspicious condition. During search, officers were able to recover 540 banned tablets (Alprazolam) from their possession.
Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 223/2024 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Sopore & investigation has been initiated. General Public is requested to cooperate with police in curbing the menace of drugs from the society. We reassure the community members that J&K Police will act tough against the criminals as per the law.
