SRINAGAR: Police in Sopore today organized awareness programmes regarding new criminal laws at the Industrial Training Institute Sopore and CDPO office Dangiwacha. The programme at Sopore was chaired by DySP (Prob) Shri. Ishwer Dev-JKPS alongwith SHO PS Sopore and at Dangiwacha, the programme was chaired by SHO PS Dangiwacha.
These programs are aimed to educate attendees about the key features of the new laws. This initiative is part of a broader effort to raise awareness about the new criminal laws, which include the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), and the Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam (BSA). These laws aim to modernize the criminal justice system, making it more efficient and effective.
Similar awareness programs have been conducted by Police across the Police District Sopore. The programs are designed to educate citizens about their rights and responsibilities under the new laws, as well as to promote a safer and more just society. The participants expressed their appreciation for the initiative, acknowledging the importance of such awareness programmes in promoting a more law-abiding and informed society.
