- DC Rajouri reviews preparations
RAJOURI: Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Abhishek Sharma, today chaired a meeting in the DC Office to review the preparations for the effective implementation of Mission Yuva Udhayami Vikas Abhiyan (YUVA) in the district. The initiative, under the aegis of the Government of Jammu & Kashmir, aims to foster sustainable employment by supporting the creation of new micro-enterprises, expanding existing businesses, and promoting innovative entrepreneurial ventures.
Addressing the officers, the Deputy Commissioner emphasized the need for coordinated efforts among all line departments to ensure the mission's objectives are achieved efficiently. He directed the departments to focus on key action points and align their roles for effective execution.
A detailed review of the baseline survey preparations was conducted during the meeting. The Deputy Commissioner highlighted the significance of training and demonstration sessions for the nominated supervisors and investigators to ensure the smooth conduct of the survey. The baseline survey, commencing on January 1, 2025, will serve as a critical exercise to gather real-time data on existing and potential entrepreneurs in the district, aiding the effective design and implementation of welfare programs.
It was informed that 48 Supervisors and 1,092 Investigators have been deployed for the month-long survey. Training sessions for the personnel have been successfully completed, and pilot surveys have been conducted across all blocks and municipalities. Deputy Commissioner directed Tehsildars, Block Development Officers, Child Development Officers, Lumberdars and Chowkidars to provide full cooperation to the investigators to ensure the survey's smooth execution. The meeting was attended by Chief Planning Officer Maqsood Ahmed, District Statistics and Evaluation Officer Sandeep Sharma and other concerned officials.
