CHARAR-I-SHAREEF: Alamdar Memorial College of Nursing and Medical Technology, Islamic University of Science and Technology, Charar-i-Shareef, observed World AIDS Day today by organizing a series of educational and community outreach initiatives aimed at strengthening understanding, prevention, and public responsibility related to HIV/AIDS.

The programme focused on enhancing awareness about the global and local context of HIV/AIDS, the importance of early diagnosis, stigma reduction, and the crucial role of healthcare education institutions in shaping informed communities. Faculty members highlighted the significance of youth engagement and inter-institutional collaboration in addressing misinformation and promoting responsible health behaviour.

Students contributed through thematic presentations and discussions on transmission, prevention strategies, treatment advances, and the need for compassionate support toward affected individuals. A poster presentation showcased creative awareness messages advocating safe practices and community solidarity. The event concluded with an awareness rally across the campus and nearby areas, where students and faculty carried banners and raised slogans to reach the wider public.
