• NC’s betrayal on jobs, power, youth aspirations exposed: Vibodh

JAMMU: Senior BJP leader and former MLC, Vibodh Gupta, while addressing a large gathering at Shahdara Sharif launched a sharp critique of the National Conference (NC) government, saying that its actions in the first year have left people disappointed instead of empowered.

Vibodh said the public perception across Jammu & Kashmir reflects “a deep sense of being misled,” as the NC-led government has failed to deliver even the most essential commitments made during the election campaign. He strongly asserted that the promises made to the public have vanished from the government’s priority list.

“Be it affordable electricity, job creation or support for women and youth — everything the NC promised so confidently during elections is now nowhere visible on the ground,” Vibodh added. He said that the NC’s betrayal is evident from the proposed power tariff hike that comes right after election-time promises of free electricity.

Vibodh remarked that the National Conference is still unable to fulfil the hopes and ambitions of a young and forward-looking Jammu & Kashmir. He maintained that people have moved beyond hallow promises and expect development over dynastic politics, and progressive governance over loud claims. The BJP leader asserted that the party will leave no stone unturned in exposing the NC’s failures, stressing that the government will ultimately have to answer for its persistent non-performance.

DDC Member Qayoom Mir said that BJP’s focus remains on ensuring that government schemes and development projects reach every corner while working for the welfare of the people and highlighting the issues that need immediate attention. He highlighted that the National Conference government has failed to adequately address issues, particularly in remote areas.

BJP OBC Morcha District President Zahid Ahmed said that NC’s promises related to infrastructure upgrades, water supply, and welfare schemes remain unfulfilled, creating growing frustration among residents.
