BARAMULLA: To strengthen community partnership, Police in Baramulla conducted 30 Public Outreach Programmes at different locations across the district viz. Suripora, Golipora, Daragutliyan, Zaspora, Zangam, Hardmadam, Ushkura, Korali, Gutiyar, Andoora, Doolipora, Darwan Frastihar, Check Sari, Choolan Kalsan, Salasan, Mayan, Mulbangil, Awaloora, Darien, Sherwani Colony, Dandmoo, Mohallah Mir Sahab, DPS Colony, Khan Colony, Kalsari Warpora, Aglar, Kundi, Nawarunda, Alpathri & Kumar Mohallah.
Local citizens actively joined the programmes and raised their concerns related to policing and civic issues. Officers assured that all genuine issues will be resolved on priority.
Under NMBA (Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan), Police teams also highlighted the harmful effects of drug abuse and encouraged the public to support the fight against drugs. Additionally, awareness was given on the new criminal laws â BNS, BNSS & BSA â for better public understanding. J&K Police remains dedicated to public-friendly, transparent and proactive policing through regular community engagement.
