SHOPIAN: A training programme, organised by the Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme (IDSP), Surveillance Unit Shopian was told held at Shopian on the Implementation of the Integrated Health Information Platform (IHIP) here at Mini-Secretariat. Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Shopian, Dr. Arshid Hussain Tak chaired the training program, aimed to enhance the capacity of health officials and field functionaries on accurate, real-time disease surveillance and reporting through the IHIP digital platform.
The resource persons highlighted key modules of IHIP, reporting protocols, data quality standards and the importance of timely notification for effective public health response.
CMO in his address stressed the significance of strengthening surveillance mechanisms to ensure early detection and rapid response to communicable diseases and urged all participants to adopt the updated digital tools with commitment and maintain highest standards of data accuracy.
The participants clarified operational aspects and shared suggestions for smooth implementation at the grassroots level. The meeting was attended by medical officers and officers/officials of the health department.
