• DC reviews civic amenities, security arrangements for Pilgrims

REASI: The grand Ati Maha Vishnu Yagya commenced today at Pouni in Reasi with a ceremonial inauguration by Deputy Commissioner, Nidhi Malik. The Deputy Commissioner initiated the sacred event by performing the Pap Ghat Mahadan and later undertook a parikrama of the yagyashala, marking the formal beginning of the multi-day religious ceremony.

Later, the Deputy Commissioner carried out a comprehensive inspection of the Ghat constructed near the Yagyashala and reviewed the arrangements put in place for the safety and convenience of the pilgrims. She examined the deployment of security personnel, availability of medical teams and assessed the overall preparedness of the administration.

DC Malik also issued directions to ensure adequate sanitation, timely waste disposal and uninterrupted electricity and water supply at the venue. She emphasized that all departments must work in coordination to provide a smooth and secure experience for the devotees visiting the Yagya.

Deputy Commissioner said, “Ati Maha Vishnu Yagya is a spiritually significant event and the district administration is committed to ensuring that every pilgrim experiences it with comfort, safety and devotion. I urge all visitors to cooperate with the administration and follow the guidelines for a peaceful and blessed Yagya.”

SSP Paramvir Singh; ADC Rakesh Kumar; Tehsildar Pouni and other sectoral officers, besides Members of Ati Maha Vishnu Yagya Committee were present. The district administration has assured that all essential arrangements are in place and continuous monitoring will be carried out throughout the event.
