• Reviews Development works also listens to public demands

KUPWARA: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Shrikant Suse, today undertook a tour of Trehgam block of district Kupwara to inspect ongoing development works, assess public infrastructure and engage directly with officials and members of the community. Assistant Commissioner Revenue Kupwara, Peerzada Mumtaz Ahmad; Assistant Commissioner Development Kupwara, Arshid Qadir Bhat; BDO Trehgam, Tehsildar and other concerned officials accompanied the DC. 

At BDO Office Trehgam, the DC chaired a meeting of concerned officers, officials from RDD and reviewed the latest progress under different schemes including MGNREGA, ADF, SBM, construction of panchayat Ghar etc.  He directed the concerned officers to speed up the execution of works and ensure completion of works within given timeframe. He directed the BDO to focus on cleanliness in the block especially around the roadsides. He also reviewed renovation work for public library and directed to complete the work by January 2026. 

At Tehsil Office Trehgam, the DC also interacted with general public, who apprised him about their developmental issues pertaining to healthcare, education and infrastructure.  The DC assured to resolve their genuine issues in a time bound manner and issued necessary directions to concerned departments.  He also visited sports ground near tehsil office to explore possibility of upgradation of facilities for local youths.

During the visit, the DC reviewed progress across multiple sectors including roads, rural development projects, health facilities, education infrastructure, and public service delivery. He emphasized adherence to quality standards, timely completion of works, and transparent execution of government schemes.
