KATRA: The School of Computer Science and Engineering (SoCSE), Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU), successfully organized a two-day workshop on Student Orientation by External Experts. The workshop was conducted under the leadership of Dr. Baijnath Kaushik, Head of SoCSE, and in the presence of Mr. Sanjay Sharma, the Organizing Secretary for the event.The event commenced with an impressive lecture by Prof. Savita Nayyar, Professor, Department of Law, and Director, Centre for Womenâs Studies, University of Jammu.
She delivered a session on Cybersecurity, discussing various types of cybercrimes and the legal frameworks to address them. Her session was highly informative and appreciated by all participants.This was followed by an insightful session by Dr. Badri N. Subudhi from IIT Jammu, who discussed the Applications of IoT and Deep Learning in Healthcare Systems, highlighting how advanced technologies are reshaping the healthcare sector.On the second day, Dr. Puneet Goyal from IIT Ropar delivered an engaging lecture on the Fundamentals of Image Processing and Deep Learning and Its Applications, providing participants with a comprehensive understanding of these transformative areas of technology.
The event saw active participation from faculty members, research scholars, and students.
