- DC Shopian highlights objectives of scheme, emphasizes for maximum awareness
SHOPIAN: As part of the Udyam Jagriti initiative under Project Mission Yuva, a Panchayat Level awareness campaign was today held at Trenz Shopian The Program was organised by Project Mission Yuva, J&K and District Employment & Counselling Centre, Shopian. Speaking on the occssion, Deputy Commissioner Shopian, Mohammad Shahid Saleem Dar highlighted the objectives of the scheme and the administration's commitment to empower individuals through promoting entrepreneurial opportunities.
He emphasised for maximizing the awareness among the people about the scheme. DC urged youth to avail the opportunity for their economic upliftment. Meanwhile, the audience was sensitised about the procedure for application, objectives & components, benefits and other related services by Murtaza Rashid and Rashid Raina, OSDs Project, Mission Yuva J&K.
The Panchayat campaign under Udyam Jagriti aimed to educate and inspire individuals about the opportunities and resources available under Mission Yuva, which focuses on livelihood generation through the establishment of nano, micro and medium enterprises. The project aims to establish 1.37 lac enterprises in the UT, capable of providing employment to more than 4 lac people. ADDC, Dr. Nasir Ahmad Lone, DIO Shopian, Showkat Hussain Ganie AD Employment, Nida Yousuf, Employment Officer, Career Councelling Officer and other officials were present on the occasion.
