REASI: A mega awareness campaign, Udyam Jagrati, under the Mission Yuva was launched in Reasi District today under the Supervision of Deputy Commissioner Nidhi Malik. The campaign spearheaded by the District Employment and Counselling Centre was inaugurated at Government Degree College Pouni by Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Sukhdev Singh Samyal. The panchayat level awareness campaign aims to encourage the youth to move towards entrepreneurship by offering skill training, financial assistance and even subsidiary support.
Around 150 participants, including final-year students of GDC Pouni and residents from three panchayatsâKheralair, Gajore and Kothyan members of SHGs attended the inaugural campaign in presence of General Manager DIC, Chief Planning Officer, District Social Welfare Officer, AD Employment, Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, local BDO and other officials. The experts acquainted participants about Nano entrepreneurship, MSME and Neo entrepreneurship, inviting the youth to move towards entrepreneurial culture.
Addressing the gathering, the ADDC emphasized the importance of grassroots engagement in achieving the objectives of Mission Yuva, which focuses on youth empowerment, self-reliance, and community development. He highlighted the government's commitment to fostering an ecosystem that encourages entrepreneurship and self-sufficiency among rural youth. Assistant Director Employment Annie Vaid highlighted the key aspects of the campaign, emphasizing its role in empowering youth and promoting entrepreneurship.
The event included interactive sessions, presentations, and discussions aimed at raising awareness about government schemes and fostering active participation from the community. The Udyam Jagriti campaign will continue its outreach efforts in various panchayats, ensuring the broader dissemination of knowledge and opportunities provided under Mission Yuva.
