JAMMU: Bharatiya Yoga Sansthan, Gol Gujral, Jammu, organized a grand and highly impactful session of Shankh Prakshalan Kriya on 5 April 2026, reaffirming its continuous commitment to promoting holistic health and yogic living. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from more than 100 individuals belonging to diverse professional backgrounds, including the medical, health, and education sectors, reflecting the growing relevance of traditional wellness practices in modern life.
The program was conducted under the able guidance of Shri Satyapal, Pradhan, Bharatiya Yoga Sansthan, Jammu & Kashmir, whose leadership continues to inspire the expansion of yogic awareness across the region. He was joined by Shri Puran Chand, Senior Volunteer; Shri Anil Kumar, Sangathan Mantri; and Shri Jialal, Mantri. The presence and coordinated efforts of Jilla Pradhans and Zone Pradhans ensured the smooth and disciplined execution of the session.
Shri Anil Sharma, Organization Minister, delivered an insightful and comprehensive session on the methodology, scientific basis, and transformative health benefits of Shankh Prakshalan. He explained that this ancient yogic detoxification practice enables deep intestinal cleansing, removes accumulated toxins, revitalizes the digestive system, enhances metabolic efficiency, improves skin health, and promotes overall physical vitality and mental clarity, making it a powerful tool for preventive healthcare.
On this occasion, Shri Rajat Jain, Financial Advisor and Chief Accounts Officer, Indian Institute of Management Jammu, participated as an active attendee and appreciated the organization for its exemplary service to society. He was accompanied by officials from IIM Jammu, including Shri Pardeep Saini, Program Officer, Business Development; Shri Shalin S., Administrative Officer-PR & Admin; Shri Sumit Kapoor, Store and Purchase Assistant; Shri Neeraj, Library Assistant; and Shri Aman, Electrician, IIM Jammu.
Adding further distinction to the event, Shri Rajesh Parihar, Regional Head, ICICI Bank, Jammu & Kashmir, also graced the occasion. The dignitaries shared their insights and experiences, strongly advocating the integration of yoga into daily life to achieve sustainable health and a balanced lifestyle.
They also shared that the practice of Shankh Prakshalan Kriya provided them with an entirely new perspective on health, with many experiencing noticeable and lasting improvements in their well-being. Several participants, especially first-time practitioners, described their experience as overwhelming, highlighting a deep sense of physical cleansing, mental clarity, and rejuvenation.
Participants expressed highly positive feedback, appreciating the structured approach, scientific orientation, and the immediate sense of lightness, clarity, and freshness experienced after the kriya. The Shankh Prakshalan Kriya is being organised twice in a year near Navratri because during that period body gets maximum detoxification of body.All activities are conducted completely free of cost, reflecting the organization’s unwavering commitment to building a healthier, more aware, and resilient society.
