DODA: As part of the National Road Safety Month 2025, an awareness program coupled with "Swachhta Pakhwada" was organized by the Motor Vehicles Department (MVD) Doda under the directions of the Transport Commissioner Vishesh Paul Mahajan and Deputy Commissioner Doda Harvinder Singh. The event was held at Bhagwa under the supervision of ARTO Doda, Rajesh Gupta, and witnessed the presence of officials from the MVD along with drivers, conductors, and the general public.
The program aimed to sensitize the participants about the critical importance of adhering to traffic rules to ensure road safety. Emphasis was laid on responsible driving practices to reduce the road accidents, with a focus on being cautious and considerate while on the road. The event highlighted key aspects such as maintaining speed limits, wearing seatbelts and helmets, avoiding drunk driving, and ensuring vehicles are roadworthy.
In addition to road safety awareness, the program also stressed the importance of cleanliness under the "Swachhta Pakhwada" initiative. Participants were educated on the necessity of keeping their surroundings clean and adopting sustainable waste management practices. The event encouraged collective responsibility to maintain both personal and community hygiene, contributing to a cleaner and healthier environment.
