- PSAJK President G N Var lauds 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' Initiative, emphasizes student responsibility towards environment
BUDGAM: The Social Forestry Department Budgam today successfully organized a plantation drive under the theme 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' at Al-Asma School Budgam. The event was presided over by G N Var, President of Private Schools Association J&K and Mohd Maqbool Lone, Range Forest Officer, Budgam.
The plantation drive saw enthusiastic participation from several distinguished personalities including Abdul Majeed Parray of the Social Forestry Department, Agha Syed, Chairman of Al-Asma Educational Institute Budgam, Ms. Neelam, Principal of Al-Asma Educational Institute, Zahoor Ahmed Khan from the Social Forestry Department. The event was attended by all teachers and students of Al-Asma School.
Following the plantation drive, an oath ceremony was conducted where all participants pledged to continue planting trees and contribute towards a greener and cleaner environment.
President, Private Schools Association J&K G N Var said that "This plantation drive is a wonderful initiative that not only enhances the beauty of our environment but also instills a sense of responsibility towards nature in our students. I am proud to be a part of such a meaningful event."

Principal, Al-sma Educational Institute Ms. Neelam said that "Our students have learned a valuable lesson today about the importance of trees and the environment. This plantation drive is a great example of how education can be combined with action to make a positive impact."
