The Survival Fight of JK Monitor: For 16 years, JK Monitor has chronicled Jammu and Kashmir with integrity. Since 2010, I have steered its newsroom alongside our visionary Founding Chairman, Dr. Priya Ranjan (IIT Kharagpur alumnus, University of Maryland Ph.D.). His tragic demise in October 2026 left a severe financial and operational vacuum. Without urgent support, our 24/7 news portal risks permanently shutting down after November 2026, remaining only as a static digital archive. We appeal to well-wishers to extend a helping hand to keep our active newsroom alive. Support Us: WhatsApp: +91-9906103001 | Email: journalistajmerwani@gmail.com

KUPWARA: Additional Deputy Commissioner, (ADC), Handwara, Javed Naseem Masoodi today chaired a Public Grievance Redressal Camp at Ramhall, to address issues related to digital Jamabandis and other revenue matters.

During the camp, a large number of residents from Ramhall and adjoining areas participated and raised their grievances regarding discrepancies in digital land records, corrections in Jamabandis, and related concerns.  The ADC patiently heard the issues put forth by the public and assured them of prompt and time-bound redressal.

The ADC emphasized the importance of digitization of land records for ensuring transparency, accountability, and ease of access for the public. He directed the concerned Tehsildar and officials to resolve genuine grievances on priority and ensure that necessary corrections in digital Jamabandis are carried out without delay.

On-the-spot instructions were issued to the field functionaries to verify records and expedite the process of rectification wherever required. The ADC also urged the people to come forward and avail the benefits of digital services being provided by the government.

Tehsildar Ramhall,Tehsildar Tarathpora and Tehsildar Vilgam, officials from the Revenue Department, and other field staff, were present on the occasion and assisted in addressing the grievances.
