The Survival Fight of JK Monitor: For 16 years, JK Monitor has chronicled Jammu and Kashmir with integrity. Since 2010, I have steered its newsroom alongside our visionary Founding Chairman, Dr. Priya Ranjan (IIT Kharagpur alumnus, University of Maryland Ph.D.). His tragic demise in October 2026 left a severe financial and operational vacuum. Without urgent support, our 24/7 news portal risks permanently shutting down after November 2026, remaining only as a static digital archive. DDC Vice-Chairperson Suraj Singh, former MLA Dr. Krishan, Jagdish Bhagat, Brijeshwar Rana, Manmohan Kumar and others were also present.

Addressing the gathering at Khour, Sat Sharma said that the Tiranga is not just our national flag, it is the symbol of India’s unity, pride, and sacrifice. He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Jammu & Kashmir has entered a new era of peace, development, and integration. He said that every household in border areas like Khour has contributed to the nation’s security, and today we salute their courage. The BJP is committed to ensuring that the benefits of development and welfare schemes reach every corner, including the remotest villages of our border belt, he added.

Later in the day, Sat Sharma visited the border area of Pallanwala in Akhnoor. He, along with MLA Mohan Lal Bhagat, also visited the Sub-District Hospital Akhnoor and inspected ongoing works. The team reviewed the progress of health infrastructure upgradation and other development projects aimed at improving public services.

Mohan Lal Bhagat said that the border residents of Akhnoor have always been at the forefront of protecting the nation. It is our responsibility to ensure they receive the best possible facilities in healthcare, education, and infrastructure. The government, under BJP’s leadership, is leaving no stone unturned to fulfill these needs, he said.

Kuldeep Raj Sharma said that the massive participation in today’s Tiranga Rally reflects the patriotic spirit and trust of the people in BJP’s vision. Our activists will continue to work tirelessly to strengthen this bond between the party and the people, ensuring that the border areas remain a priority in development planning, he said.
