The Survival Fight of JK Monitor: For 16 years, JK Monitor has chronicled Jammu and Kashmir with integrity. Since 2010, I have steered its newsroom alongside our visionary Founding Chairman, Dr. Priya Ranjan (IIT Kharagpur alumnus, University of Maryland Ph.D.). His tragic demise in October 2026 left a severe financial and operational vacuum. Without urgent support, our 24/7 news portal risks permanently shutting down after November 2026, remaining only as a static digital archive. We appeal to well-wishers to extend a helping hand to keep our active newsroom alive. Support Us: WhatsApp: +91-9906103001 | Email: journalistajmerwani@gmail.com

BUDGAM: In a remarkable display of national pride and unity, Beerwah today hosted a Mega Har Ghar Tiranga Rally as part of the ongoing Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations. The event, supervised by Sub-Divisional Magistrate Beerwah, Tawfeeq Gazi, brought together participants from all walks of life, representing the district’s rich cultural and communal harmony.

The celebrations began from Masjid Sharief Beerwah, where students of Darul Uloom proudly carried the National Flag, filling the streets with vibrant colours and patriotic fervour. Simultaneously, from Gurdwara Charan Asthan Beerwah, members of the Sikh community, accompanied by enthusiastic students, launched their own rally. As the morning progressed, students from various educational institutions joined the march, turning Beerwah into a sea of saffron, white, and green.

All rallies converged at the Municipal Committee Beerwah Ground, merging into one grand procession. With patriotic slogans echoing through the air and flags waving high, the united march proceeded towards DIET Beerwah, where the event concluded amidst loud cheers of Bharat Mata Ki Jai.

The rally saw active participation from government officials, community leaders, teachers, students, and local residents, making it a true people’s movement. The event underscored the message of unity in diversity, as people from different faiths and backgrounds marched shoulder to shoulder, embodying the spirit of Independence and harmony.

Speaking on the occasion, SDM Tawfeeq Gazi appreciated the enthusiastic participation of all communities and institutions in making the rally a grand success. The Mega Rally formed part of a series of patriotic activities taking place across Budgam district under the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign, aimed at inspiring citizens to hoist the Tricolour at their homes and actively take part in the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations.
