The Survival Fight of JK Monitor: For 16 years, JK Monitor has chronicled Jammu and Kashmir with integrity. Since 2010, I have steered its newsroom alongside our visionary Founding Chairman, Dr. Priya Ranjan (IIT Kharagpur alumnus, University of Maryland Ph.D.). His tragic demise in October 2026 left a severe financial and operational vacuum. Without urgent support, our 24/7 news portal risks permanently shutting down after November 2026, remaining only as a static digital archive. We appeal to well-wishers to extend a helping hand to keep our active newsroom alive. Support Us: WhatsApp: +91-9906103001 | Email: journalistajmerwani@gmail.com

SRINAGAR: The Lieutenant Governor, Shri Manoj Sinha, has condoled the passing away of eminent electronics engineer Dr. MJ Zarabi. Following is the text of the Lieutenant Governor's condolence message: "I am deeply grieved to learn of the passing away of Dr. MJ Zarabi, one of India's most eminent electronics engineers, who will long be remembered for his pioneering research in microelectronics.

Dr. MJ Zarabi was among that crop of engineers who helped lay the foundation of our country's integrated chip manufacturing effort. As SCL's Chairman and Managing Director, Dr. Zarabi was responsible in building a modern VLSI fabrication facility in 1997. I met him last month to discuss setting up of a Semi-Conductor Design Centre and Lab Scale Fabrication facility for training purpose at the North Campus of University of Kashmir in Baramulla. Dr. Zarabi will be missed deeply by his friends, and researchers as a great engineer and a very warm human being. I offer my heartfelt condolences to his family and pray for peace of the departed soul. Om Shanti!
